Ayse, a young Turkish girl, is pregnant but refuses to reveal the identity of the father. Her father, Osman, is outraged because this unfortunate pregnancy dishonours the entire family. Under pressure from family and friends, Osman decides to perform a brutal, primitive practice to cleanse the family name - he must kill his own daughter. Under a false pretense, he lures Ayse on a long road trip. On the journey, their relationship grows and Osman gradually begins to have second thoughts.
